《Day care centers/Centers for Early childhood Education and Care (day care center section)/Community-based childcare programs》

Day care centers are facilities that provide daytime care for infants and other preschool children (Community-based childcare programs：admission up to three years old) whose parents require care be taken of them due to work, illness or other reasons. Details including consultation services on admission and reception of enrollment applications can be found at the health center in each ward.

The Cheerful Ward Day Care & Child-raising Support Center and some nursery centers, kindergartens and approved child institutions provide childcare services on a daily basis (reservations are required). Fees vary depending on the ages of the children and the reasons for using the service. Please apply directly to the temporary childcare facility you wish to use.

《Kindergartens, Centers for Early Childhood Education and Care (kindergarten section)》

Kindergartens are educational facilities for preschool children ages of three and up. One-, two- or three-year education programs are available at municipal and private kindergartens. Qualified approval may be required to enroll in some kindergartens and the kindergarten sections of Centers for Early Childhood Education and Care. Please contact the facility directly. There are both private and public facilities.

※Sapporo Community Interpreter

Sapporo Community Interpreters are available for interpretation for consultations with or procedures at ward offices or schools, nurseries, ward offices, etc. Interpreters will be sent out when using services or facilities in Sapporo.

-Date and time services are available：(Generally) Monday-Friday 9AM-5:30PM (For 2 hours or less per dispatch.)

-Languages：English/Chinese-Japanese (For other languages, please consult us.)

*Interpreters are citizen volunteers, not professionals.

-Fee：Free of charge

-Hours：Mon.-Fri.(9:00-17:30)

*It is not available on Sunday, Holidays, and early morning or night time in principle.
